Voluma XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss and for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile. As we age and lose facial volume, the contour of the face changes, causing shadow patterns to develop, while youthful highlights fade. The goal of facial aesthetic treatment with Voluma XC is to help temporarily restore facial volume and correct age-related shadow patterns inherent to the aging face.

What makes Juvederm Voluma different from other Juvederm products is its long-lasting Vycross formulation. Procedures
Voluma is injected by directing the needle at a 90-degree angle to the skin, over the zygoma bone. As the needle passes through the skin the patient often hears a “crunching noise” which is entirely normal, and they may feel it when the needle tip taps the bone (also normal). Once the needle is at the correct depth and location, a small amount is injected, and the needle is removed. The injector can immediately assess the benefit from each injection. Voluma requires minimal molding.
Maintenance
The duration of benefit will vary greatly between individuals. When it is placed properly and an adequate amount of product is used, it may last for up to 2 years. The national average for “most” patients is one syringe per side to get the full 24-month longevity.
