SKINVIVE is a hyaluronic acid (HA) microdroplet injectable that’s approved by the FDA for use in the face. Hyaluronic acid helps improve skin hydration, smoothing the surface and creating a dewy glow. Paired with 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE), this dermal filler effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This injectable gel is approved for use in clients aged 21+, and results can last for up to six months between treatments. Hydrate from within thanks to SKINVIVE.
Procedures
SKINVIVE injections take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on how many you’re receiving. There’s practically zero prep time required, especially since topical numbing isn’t necessary.
Since Juvéderm products contain lidocaine, you may just feel a small, brief pinch at the injection site, as well as slight pressure and tingling.
You can leave immediately following the injection(s).
Recovery
Before the swelling begins, you’ll probably see some results right away. Because Juvéderm is so hydrating, it’s normal to have more swelling the day after your injections, and possibly for up to a week.
You can resume regular activities after SKINVIVE injections, and you can enjoy the results for up to six months.
Maintenance
Follow-up treatments may not be required for at least six months following your initial SKINVIVE injection.
Frequently Asked Questions
SKINVIVE side effects may include redness at the injection site, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and itching. Typically, these effects last no longer than seven days following injection.
While there may be a slight pinch at the injection site, SKINVIVE procedures are mostly pain-free. As with other Juvéderm products, lidocaine is included in the injection to reduce pain. Topical numbing cream or ice can also be used to help minimize discomfort at your appointment.
After the initial swelling subsides, you should see results from Skinvive injections within weeks.
